REPUBLICA DOMINICANA REINICIO LAS EXPORTACIONES DE CARNE BOVINA A ESTADOS UNIDOS.
El país cumplió con los estándares de calidad y normas sanitarias que exigían las autoridades.
El ministro de Industria y Comercio, Manuel Garcia Arévalo, anunció ayer el reinicio de las exportaciones de carne bovina a Estados Unidos tras cumplir con los estándares de calidad y normas sanitarias exigidas por las autoridades de esa nación.
"Creo que es una muy buena noticia para el sector agroindustrial nacional, porque todos sabemos lo importante que es el mercado de los Estados Unidos por su nivel de precio. la verdad que es una noticia que ayuda para que el país aumente sus exportaciones" expresó.
El funcionario refutó las declaraciones de algunos secotres que acusan al Gobierno de importar productos agrícolas por encima de la cuota asignada en el Tratado de libre Comercio (DR-CAFTA), sin tomar en cuenta la producción nacional.
Afirmó que contrario a esas acusaciones la entidad que dirige cumple con la cuota establecida por el DR-CAFTA, que establece la cuota y cada año hay una partida que se incrementa y esa partida se distribuye tomando en consideración el rócord histórico.
"tengo la certeza de que el equipo técnico que distribuye la cuota lo hace con la mayor propiedad"
Destacó que para las exportaciones siempre se toma en cuenta a los importadores tradicionales, dandoles prioridad a las asociaciones de productores.
El auncio fue hecho por García Arévelo luego de participar en una reunión con las comisiones de economía, Planificación y Desarrollo y de Industria y Comercio para armonizar algunos aspectos de la Ley Orgánica del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores.
De su lado, la presidenta de la comisión, Minerva Josefina Tavárez Mirabal, informó que los aspectos tratados tienen que ver con la competencia de ambos ministerios en materia de negociaciones comerciales y de cooperación internacional. la comisión trabaja en base a las observaciones a dicha Ley.
Camilo niega "mafia" de importación alimentos.
El direrector de Aduanas negó que exista una mafia en la importación de productos agropecuarios y calificó de imprudente y exagerada esa acusación hecha por una organización de productores agrícolas.
Rafael Camilo afirmó que en las aduanas dominicanas, no hay registros de importaciones agrícolas exorbitantes, por el contrario, informó que ha retenido algunos excesos de mercancías importadas que no debieron traerse. "La mafia no es un concepto de debería utilizarse en las importaciones agropecuarias, puede haber aumento de importaciones en un año a otro", dijo.

Camilo denies "mafia" of food imports.
